Visiting La Spinetta Castagnole Lanze, Piedmont
We are pleased to receive visitors at
our main winery from
Monday to Friday after appointment. Please send us a short
e-mail and let us know, which day and time you would like to visit and how
many people will be joining you. Depending of the number of wines you will taste, we do charge a minimal fee. Please plan at least 90 minutes for your tour and tasting, which can be held in Italian or English. Our space is limited, we cannot accept groups larger than 25 people.

Visiting La Spinetta Casanova, Tuscany

Visiting Contratto, Canelli,
Piedmont La Spinetta bought this historic, high end sparkling wine
producer in June of 2011. The winery is located only 15 minutes east
of our Castagnole Lanze cellar. A visit to the cellars of Contratto is a one-of-a-kind
experience. The historical cellars are a real treasure for the winery and
among the finest of their kind. In an elegant edifice built in Italian
Liberty-style, with impressive wrought iron gates and an enchanting
cobblestoned courtyard, Contratto winery welcomes its guests. A gallery
holds documents and photos recording the history of the company and, in the
"sala dei sacchi" there is a fascinating collection of ancient instruments
and machines once used for vinification. The highlight of the visit are the
32 meter deep cellars where, for almost 150 years, bottles of wine produced
with the Chardonnay and Pino Nero grapes have been stored as well as the

Tuscan hills south east of Pisa are less known to tourism, but as most parts
of Tuscany equally beautiful. Less tourism means more authentic life style
and more untouched nature. Our Casanova is a tiny little Etruscan village
outside the town of Terricciola. Around this area one can find many
traditional Trattorias, that offer great local dishes. This area also offers some nice hotels and B&Bs, that we can recommend. However if you are looking for a special stay near our winery , we recommend you to rent these beautifully renovated and tastefully designed apartments or a Villa with swimming pool and exceptional view over the vineyards, all a stone throw away from La Spinetta Casanova.
